Yoga Classes

 

Most every class starts in Shavasana, yoga's relaxation pose. We do a guided awareness & a breathing practice called ujjayi pranayama, or full yoga breath. Then, a marker pose, either a very simple pose or a more challenging classical pose, that's done at the beginning & the end of the class to notice the effects of spinal opening on your body & your mind. The spinal opening poses are done between the marker poses, decompressing the spine from tail to top. Every class ends with another Shavasana and guided awareness. There are themes for each class; Daily Practice, Core Opening, Abdominals, Backbends, Standing Poses, Forward Bends, Neck & Shoulders, Balance & Inversions, Classical Poses, Vinyasa, Seated Poses & Twists. 

Classes are Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:30-11am​. Please email to register.

Therapeutics Class

​Offering poses designed to reach into the spinal tensions deeply and reliably with less emphasis on alignments and more use of your arms, legs, abs and breath to facilitate the release. It's a powerful way to use your body!

Wednesdays 9:30-11am 

Yoga Therapy 

Treating Pain - private session. Using specific protocols to start the healing process with breath work (pranayama) and supported poses. Deep and effective, these sessions will give you relief from your pain and you'll learn how to manage it at home between sessions. A single 1 hour session is $95, or buy 5 sessions for $425 or 10 for $750. 

Embodyment® 

A form of yoga therapy & offered in a private session, Embodyment® is a hands-on-healing technique that provides profound spinal release and healing.  The client lies in Shavasana and the therapist places her hands on key areas of the spine.  This hour long session provides the spinal release equal to 5-6 yoga classes.  It’s like yoga concentrate! Not only does it provide physical release, it opens the body’s own healing ability to provide deep healing on all levels. As the body quiets, the mind settles back to allow you to experience a deeper, peaceful, healing state. A single 1 hour session is $95, or buy 5 sessions for $425 or 10 for $750. 

 

Vichara

A form of yoga therapy for your mind.  It's a series of questions to help you unravel the stuff that keeps your mind churning. Like Svaroopa® yoga unravels the tensions in your body, vichara unravels the tensions in your mind. The stuff that bothers you won't have such a hold on you when you shine the light of your awareness on it. Vichara is a one on one session that can be done in person, on Zoom or over the phone.

Simply Meditate - a 3 class intro series 

Thursdays May 7, 14 & 21, 10am - 12pm 

Meditation is yoga's most important tool. Get your home practice started with this series. This traditional yoga meditation has been handed down through the ages. These teachings from the ancient sages are still being taught today because they work! Learn powerful tools to settle you into the depths more easily, set yourself up at home & create a consistent meditation practice. Series + materials $90

Tuesdays May 5, 12, 19, 26 & June 2, 10am - 12pm

Are you ready to go deeper? Learn how to keep yourself in the meditative flow throughout your day so that your meditation comes more easily. When you stay close to your inner Self  in the midst of life there won’t be as far to go when you sit to meditate. You will dive deeper quicker.

Free Online Meditation Satsangs
